Bernadine Custer Sharp, an artist and founding member of the Southern Vermont Art Center, bequeathed her 1840 house to the Londonderry Historical Society to be used as an arts and cultural society.  Each year the Londonderry Historical Society and the Art League of Londonderry collaborate to hold a juried show of works by local artists, exhibited at the charming and beautifully restored Custer Sharp House, one of the oldest houses in the area.  Down the hill is the Old Grange Hall, the headquarters of the Art League of Londonderry, where members’ works are on display every summer Saturday, and visitors are invited to paint plein-air with the artists on Tuesday mornings.
